Questions and answers
Where is my progress saved?
On your device. There’s no account or cloud save, so uninstalling the app or clearing its data can erase your levels, stars and coins.
Android’s own backup may bring your progress back when you reinstall or move to a new phone with the same Google account, if backup is turned on in your phone’s settings — but we can’t promise it will.
I bought something and don’t see it.
Close Sortaring completely and open it again, and make sure the phone is online and signed in to the Google account you paid with. Purchases go through Google Play, so you’ll find your receipt in the Google Play app under Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history.
Still missing? Write to us with the order number from that receipt (it usually starts with “GPA.”). Never send card details.
How do I turn the sound off?
Open Settings from the home screen. Under Audio, slide Music and Sound effects down. You can also change them from the pause menu during a level. Vibration has its own switch in Settings.
Why can’t I put a ring there?
A ring can only land on a ring of the same color or on an empty peg, and only if the peg has room. Finished pegs — the sparkling ones holding every ring of a color — are locked. The rules have pictures.
I’m stuck on a level.
Restart is always free. Try keeping one peg empty for as long as you can, and don’t cover up a color that’s nearly finished. You can also undo moves, ask for a hint (from level 5) or add a small rod (from level 10) — these cost coins.
Every level can be solved: a solver checked all 300. More ideas in the tips.
When does the Daily Challenge change?
Just after midnight, your local time. Everyone gets the same puzzle each day, and Sunday’s is the toughest of the week.
How do I unlock Zen and Challenge?
Keep playing Classic: Zen opens at level 30 and Challenge at level 50. The shop opens at level 8.
Is Sortaring on iPhone or iPad?
Not yet. It’s on Android first, and an iPhone and iPad version is coming.
Which languages can I play in?
English, Deutsch, Français, 日本語, 한국어, Nederlands and Svenska. Sortaring follows your phone’s language; to choose another, open Settings → Language.
Does it need the internet?
No. Every mode plays offline.
What about ads and privacy?
The parents’ page explains ads and purchases in plain language, and the privacy policy has the details.
